Al-Quds Committee of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA) condemned the recent Israeli decision to close the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque’s Bab al-Rahma /Mercy Gate, as it amounts to a new act of Zionist aggression against al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The acting Chairman of al-Quds Committee, Ibrahim Muhanna, stressed that this decision aims to divide al-Aqsa on both levels of time and space, being part of the so-called “Deal of the Century.” He called on the people of al-Quds, the Palestinians, the Arab and Islamic nations to mobilize their powers in defense of al-Aqsa Mosque and combat the policy of Judaization.
In a press release, Muhanna accentuated that PCPA’s al-Quds Committee supports the unified position of the residents of al-Quds city and the religious authorities in their efforts to challenge the consistent Zionist violations of the holy mosque of al-Aqsa:
The full length of the statement:
Press statement regarding the Zionist crime of closing the Bab al-Rahma of al-Aqsa Mosque
A new Zionist act of aggression aims at the Bab al-Rahma once again, which is to be blocked as provided by a decision of the “Israeli Court.”
Al-Quds Committee of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad once again stresses that Bab al-Rahma is an integral part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and that attacking it with closure is an attack on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and a violation of its sanctity. This criminal decision comes as part of a series of measures aimed at implementing the so-called "deal of the century" to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque temporarily and spatially, which necessitates that the people of Jerusalem in particular and everyone who can reach Jerusalem, and the nation to mobilize all the resources available to stop this criminal aggression.
The Committee’s Acting Chairman, Dr. Muhanna, demanded that the states of the Islamic world step up efforts to stop this Zionist threat.
He saluted the religious authorities in Jerusalem and valued their courageous stance rejecting the Zionist criminal decision and its refusal of subjecting the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to bargaining and negotiations. He confirmed that the al-Quds Committee of the Popular Conference adopts all the provisions of the statement made by the religious authorities, calling them to be steadfast and cautious of the Zionist deceit.
Finally, we greet the heroes of Jerusalem, women and men, the resilient worshipers, and invite them and other Palestinian people who can reach the al-Aqsa Mosque to summon all the faith in and love for al-Aqsa Mosque and rise to break the locks and with them all the Zionist decisions the way they did in the 2017’s uprising.
